It's tough to express the feelings I had after the cup exit to Barnsley. I had so little interest to attend this match, that for the first time in many years it felt like it didn't matter whether I went to the Bridge or not. One thing is for sure, my love for the club as a supporter supersedes any hatred I have to the people running the club that have failed us in so many ways when we were on the verge of becoming a really successful team.
It was also hard to muster any energy to get involved in the singing and chanting. This seemed to be the general feeling among the Chelsea fans, who to their credit got behind the team, even if there were quite a few empty seats around the stadium.
Frank Lampard absolutely destroyed a terrible Derby side. Can someone enlighten me as to how Darren Moore can play in the Premier League? We should have been in double figures, but when 6-1 up Grant decided to put three strikers on up front - hopefully, just to give them a runaround rather than for any tactical reasons, as the team did not gel at all after this.
We bounced back after the awful cup defeat, but really this means nothing now unless we are able to win at home against Manchester United and Arsenal. It is a depressing time to be a Chelsea fan despite this victory, not because we are spoilt with success, but because we know that Roman has ruined a successful team with his egotistical tinkering.
