08 12 2007        Chelsea 2 Sunderland 0
Well I suppose we shouldn't really complain. Another win against a side we should be beating in poor conditions. I
honestly had not heard of most of Sunderland's players and they all had names that belong in Division 2. Even their
fans cannot have much faith in their own team since they didn't even fill up their half allocation that they took. What's the
point of singing, "where were you when you were shit?" when you can't even sell out your own away end?

However, I do beg to differ with Avram over his statement that Chelsea continue to play attractive and exciting football.
Today was not one of those days (in fact it wasn't that entertaining against Derby and West Ham), and this was reflected
by the atmosphere inside the stadium which at certain stages was very quiet indeed. Without Drogba up front we look
toothless, and even though he scored today I am struggling to understand why Sheva plays ahead of Pizarro. I also
doubt if Kalou really knows what he is doing. Apparently he is supposed to be a striker, but all I do is see him playing on
the left wing.

Of course, another clean sheet is fantastic. The defense had a pretty decent game, and we have managed to beat
teams recently that we should. My main worry (still) is what will happen against Arsenal next week. I am one of those in
the camp that says getting rid of Jose was a mistake, and really I cannot see any improvement in the side since he has
left.

Joe Cole has been entertaining to watch, but produced nothing of value today - SWP had a pretty average game as did
Lampard. Obi Mikel was solid and as long as he stops receiving red cards will be a worthy successor to Makelele.

I hope I am wrong, but I feel very uneasy at how the squad will cope against better opposition this season, especially
with Drogba out.
