Well f**k me I thought I had accidentally walked into a Def Leppard concert. I love German football fans as they are
similar to us in so many ways - they love to get a few beers in before and after the game and try their best to create
some sort of atmosphere. Where we have to draw the line is their sense of fashion. Not that I am Giorgio Armani, but
mullets, big moustaches, sleeveless jeans jackets and bandanas are sooooo 1985. What makes this even more bizarre
is the fact that Schalke are based in the west of their country, the supposed posher side of Germany!
It was a competent performance from Chelsea on one of those European nights where a win was more vital than the
style of performance. While we keep grinding out victories, Chelsea fans will have no complaints. Let's gloss over the
fact Schalke hit the post and Alex should have been sent off for pulling one of their players back.
The only question I have is whether this is an improvement over a Jose Mourinho side. There is a long way to go yet, so
let's get behind the team even if we don't believe in the administration running our club.
