23 08 2007 Farewell Arjen
Not since Gianfranco Zola had a player excited me so match as Arjen Robben.
His skill, pace and trickery was a sight to behold. From his debut he was simply magical to watch.
Unfortunately, ever since his injury at Blackburn he has become too injury prone. His attitude has been poor and he is a
player who doesn't fit in to the current Chelsea mentality of team spirit.
At least he has not joined another Premier League club.
I do wish him the best of success. For me, a far superior player than Cristiano Ronaldo - but in the end, he did not play
enough matches because of his constant injuries. One of the few players who will leave Chelsea who we will probably
regret selling, if he stays off the doctor's couch!
For me, his best game was against Barcelona at home when Del Horno received a red card. Robben was simply world
class, and even though we lost, his performance was dazzling.
