17 03 2007        Chelsea 3 Sheffield United 0
Chelsea fans came into this match knowing that Manchester United had annihilated Bolton 4-1 only minutes before.

To give the team credit they stayed professional and crushed a very average side. 2-0 up by the 20th minute and it
should have been more. With an important cup tie ahead against Spurs on Monday you could understand why Chelsea
took their foot off the gas.

For the first half an hour, however, we saw the potential of this Chelsea side when we play an attacking formation. Of
course, you have to put into context the team we were playing against. However, with two wingers and two strikers more
renowned for their skill and speed rather than braun it was very exciting to watch.

After a sickening injury to Rob Hulse the game seemed to die down and Chelsea cruised.

Yet again, it gets tedious but we have another bunch of away fans singing, "where were you when you were shit". Well
fellas, your team is in their most successful period for years and your away fans can't even fill one half of the away
allocation for a Saturday 3pm game!

It was good to see some decent banter in the Shed... the "
we're the middle, we're the middle...." chant was quite audible
and I hope the fans there can keep it up. I was thinking of starting that in the West Upper, but doubted anyone would
know the words. "We're the middle, we're the middle of the West Stand Upper Tier". Let's get involved!

Onto Spurs tomorrow. Their attack is simply on fire at the moment and I expect a few goals. At this stage I really don't
know what the result will be - but tension between the fans will be high which should produce a fantastic atmosphere.

On a final note well done Chelsea for listening to the fans and reducing ticket prices for Champions League games.
Things are still not perfect - how can a member have priority over season ticket holders for away games? But it's one
small positive step and let's hope they listen to all the Chelsea Supporters' Group suggestions before they alienate even
more genuine fans..
