10 02 2007        Chelsea 3 Middlesbrough 0
This was a game that Chelsea may have struggled in a month ago. Now we are slowly getting some of our players back
and beginning to tick even though we not back to full strength. Essien still had to play centre back and until Robben
came on our attack looked lacklustre.

Didier Drogba was magnificent yet again today: 17 goals in the league alone.

The game began at a frenetic pace. Chelsea could have scored twice in the opening five minutes but it could have been
Boro in the lead when Viduku missed an easy header that did not even get on target. Towards the end of the first half
Drogba scored a great free kick.

In the second half Diarra came off injured. Perversely this helped Chelsea improve their attacking play as Kalou and
Robben became wingers to support the two strikers up front. Within seconds of coming on Robben scored, and later
Drogba scored with a deflected free kick.

The day was slightly marred by United's unsurprising victory over Charlton.

So the next couple of weeks are non league fixtures... Chelsea are getting back to their best but we now need to rely on
United dropping points.
