06 01 2007        Chelsea 6 Macclesfield Town 1
It was nice to see Chelsea win by a lot for a change despite it being against lowly Macclesfield.

I was very impressed with the opposition and in their few forays of attack they looked quite dangerous.

Chelsea really strolled it - at times too much - especially when they allowed Maccy to score.

When Chelsea looked like they were safe, I was glad to see Jose giving three youngsters a chance. Not only is it a great
experience to play at the Bridge, but the Chelsea fans backed them to the hilt. I was very impressed with their
contributions in particular with that of Sahar who made a far greater impact than the quiet Kalou.

Sheva again looked out of sorts - I don't mind him shooting all the time, but not when there are players in better
positions. Lampard today looked and played like a captain scoring his first hat-trick in ten years... good for him.

So on to the next round - Liverpool are out (an angel gets its wings) and as long as we avoid Man Utd or Arsenal I will be
confident. I hope we draw a random club away from the lower leagues that I have not been to.

Oh, and on a final note - well done to Neil Barnett who praised the Macclesfield fans for coming in their large numbers
before the game, but then asking them if they would be there for their league match against Hereford in the next couple
of weeks. Their fans didn't know whether to applaud or boo him. Classic!
