25 03 2006 Chelsea Liverpool at Old Trafford - will we sell out?
Barely a day after the draw and already some Chelsea fans are making excuses for not going.
If we do not sell out our 30,000 odd allocation it will be a disgrace.
Ok so the game is at Old Trafford - barely 35 miles away for the Scousers to get to, and further away for most of their
fans from the South of England. Chelsea fans for the most part have a 400 mile round trip from London. So what? A
semi at Villa Park would have meant a 300 mile round trip for Chelsea fans. These are the FA Cup Semi Finals for
goodness sake against what are currently our most despised rivals!
I hope all those Chelsea fans who complained they couldn't get a ticket for Barcelona at home buy tickets for this match
when they go for sale for members.
Chelsea Football Club also needs to advertise clearly that all fans who want to go should be able to obtain a ticket for
this match so that they can start making travel arrangements. We shall see.
