25 02 2006        Linesmen and the offside rule
Just seen another decision that has gone against the attacker today. An Arsenal player was onside by a yard and was
flagged offside by the lino (or "referee's assistant" as mongs like to call it nowadays).

How long we have to put up with incompetency by referees is anyone's guess.
Earlier on this season when we played Liverpool in the Champions' League at home, we had two, even three offsides
against us that were proven to be incorrect on TV later on.

Linesmen need better training to understand the subtleties of today's game. It is no wonder world class strikers become
antagonised when all the training they have done over the years to time their runs to perfection come to nothing
because of incompetence by a linesman. Sort it out the F.A.!
