This site being about left backs an' all means that I am particularly incensed at the way Wayne Bridge has been loaned
out to our rivals Fulham, whose wellington boot wearing know nothing fans (who have the temerity to sing "where were
you when you were shit" to us when they averaged less than 5,000 fans a season only a few years back) have admitted
is their best player.
In my opinion Wayne Bridge is the best left back at the club. I will rarely criticise Jose Mourinho as I think he is the best
manager in the world, but we made a grave error in this instance. Why did we allow him to go on loan until the end of the
season? I understand that it was to improve his fitness - so surely only loan him out for a month? Now that Del Horno will
be suspended in the Champions League and Gallas is injured, we need Bridge back.
It's funny how last season when Forssell went to Birmingham and got injured, they were very happy to send him back to
us before the loan expired because they were not willing to foot his wage bill while he was not going to be playing!
